The three businesses combined have 504 locations and 4,020 employees across Australia, producing $445 million in revenue for the financial year ending in June of last year. Milgrom has maintained a net profit of around $27 million over the last three years, while staff and store numbers have remained fairly steady despite increased competition from international chains such as Zara and Topshop, as well as an explosion of Internet purchases by Australian shoppers from retailers overseas. She explains this to cost-cutting and supply-chain management, rather than a drop in head count.
